PT Prasadha Pamunah Limbah Industri (PPLI) transports hazardous and toxic (B3) waste from generators to its treatment facility, making driver competence critical to road safety. This study assessed the knowledge, skills, and behaviour of B3 waste transport drivers at the Cibitung Transfer Station (CTS) depot. A descriptive quantitative design was applied to all 30 drivers (total sampling). Knowledge was measured through structured interviews using a 15-item self-rated five-point scale, skills through three dichotomous (Guttman) items on licensing, certified training, and pre-trip inspection, and behaviour through ride-along observation of five items on a five-point frequency scale. Data were analysed using frequencies, item means, standard deviations, and percentage scores. Knowledge scored 98.8% (very good), with the lowest item on the facilities of B3 transport vehicles (90.0%). All drivers met the three skill items (100%). Behaviour scored 89.9% overall, but mobile phone use while driving scored only 49.3% (fair): all 30 drivers were observed using a phone, 16 of them often. The findings indicate a gap between high self-rated knowledge and actual safe behaviour. As the data are self-rated or collected with an observer present and show a ceiling effect, they should not be generalised beyond this depot.
